BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq (AP) - The airplane is the size of a jet fighter, powered by a turboprop engine, able to fly at 300 mph and reach 50,000 feet. It's outfitted with infrared, laser and radar targeting, and with a ton and a half of guided bombs and missiles.

The Reaper is loaded, but there's no one on board. Its pilot, as it bombs targets in Iraq, will sit at a video console 7,000 miles away in Nevada.

The full report is on the Drudge Report.  No cockpit window looks strange, but she is a real beauty. With more and more of these drones, we will be able to save many lives in combat. The troops will be doing a lot of clean up action. I love it. They didn’t say exactly when they would be put in use, but they plan on using them in Iraq. I bet they are there now. I’d like to see a demonstration. Bet it’s awesome.  I love technology and we are the best. Way to go, USA.

I know, all of you think I am radical already, but I'm not really. I'm a pretty nice, kinda quiet person, sometimes, at least when I'm not debating politics, but if you thought I was a little rad, wait till you hear this. A friend of mine that I really like and have always thought he was a intellectual conservative made this suggestion and I spurt wine through my nose, (wow, that burns). It was the most unexpected comment ever. Here goes...

He said the Democratic Congress and the Bush Admn. were never going to agree or reach a compromise. They might as well pull out the troops immediately. Let them fight it out and kill each other off until the terrorists take over and move in to rule Iraq. Then , bomb the place back to the Stone Age including the oil. Make it so the terrorists can not use the oil fields money to fuel their Jihads. It will take 10 to 20 years to get it back to where it was and by that time, who knows what will be going on in the world.

He said it would be cheaper to feed and clothe and house the remaining people then to keep paying this inflated price for the war. He also said it would send a devastating message to anyone thinking we had turned all mushy and cowardly.

There you have it. Pretty radical isn't it? Who knows, maybe its time for a little 'rad', cause this brand of politically correct fighting is not making it. This is not to blame our troops. They can beat anyone with one hand tied behind their backs, but they cannot defeat an enemy they are not allowed to shoot. Everything I liked about Bush when I voted for him, I have lost. Mainly due to the injustices against our fighting men sent to prison and treated worse than our enemies. Bush could have intervened, but he has not and that is what I will forever hold against him.

Comments or suggestions how to end the war are appreciated.

I was pointed to an article in the Washington Post Blog written by William Arkin. The article is titled, 'The troops should support the American people'. Please go and read this article and more importantly, read the comments. (I have not learned how to do the link yet, so I apologize).

He demeaned our military in a most scurrilous fashion. Called them mercenaries. I was very upset that one of our newspapers would allow such dribble and bias during a time when our troops were in harm's way. It is so unpatriotic and anti-American. I hope the paper will soon go out of business. I have my party hat and dancing shoes close by to celebrate that worthy occasion.

I kept looking for the fringed vests, the headbands and puka beads, but all I saw were burned-out, over-the-hill hippies and a bunch of Communist, Marxist and radicals against America.  Sometimes, I wonder if we give too much freedom to those that hate us, but I guess we have to in order to live up to our Constitution. It just makes me sick. They spit on our disabled veterans, that's real thanks. What can you expect from the lowest degree of humanity. They do not care one iota for our military men and women. They use them as an excuse to attack our government.

I would like to see a really smart district attorney charge them with Sedition, prosecute, convict and deport them. That would be the American way. No violence. I am not saying that everyone has to be for the war, but I don't expect you to give aid and comfort to our enemies without being held responsible for your actions.

To show you a contrast in Marches. The Right to Life also held a march in Washington. There were more young people than anyone would think, in attendance. Guess what? The police did not have to form a barricade to keep them out of the Capitol like they had to do with the so-called Peace March. The Right to Lifers did not carry cans of spray paint with them. They were well behaved, unlike some in the Peace March. The Right to Life March hardly got media print, while the Peace March got tons of attention. Where is the fairness?

What would these peaceniks have us do. Just quit? Then what? When the radical Islamist start to take over other countries are we supposed to turn our heads and say its not our fight? After they have expanded to become a huge power and refuse to sell us oil, then what? Do we let them become the super power and we become the new third world nation with a starving population? Let's hear something more than 'pull or now' answer the question, then what?
